A gentle immersion in the Ventoux vineyards
Start your stay by immersing yourself in nature and the vineyards. In Vaison-la-Romaine, a guided bike ride through the Cave la Romaine vineyards sets the tone: a leisurely pedal through the vines, accompanied by a guide who shares the secrets of the land. The outing lasts about an hour and a half and concludes with a tasting at the winery—a perfect way to extend the experience.
It is an accessible, sociable activity, ideal for getting a feel for the region right from the start. The rolling landscape of the Ventoux, the scent of garrigue scrubland, and the rows of vines create a stunning backdrop.
To continue the immersion, head to the Domaine de Tara, nestled in Roussillon. Here, wine tourism blends wine with creativity: the estate regularly hosts art exhibitions and gatherings in its cellar, offering a unique setting where you can savor the experience with your eyes just as much as your palate.
Tip: opt for a morning outing in summer to enjoy the cool air and the soft morning light on the vines.

Summer evenings, flea markets, and gastronomy: savoring the full Ventoux experience
After that appetizing start, it’s time to soak up the summer atmosphere of the Ventoux region. We begin in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a true paradise for antique hunters. The town is home to around 300 antique dealers spread across several dedicated villages, making it a must-visit spot for browsing art objects, antique furniture, and curiosities.
Every Sunday, a flea market brings the town center to life, inviting visitors to take their time as they wander between stalls and shaded terraces—an ideal interlude between vineyard visits.
When it comes to dining, a visit to Chez Serge in Carpentras is a must. This restaurant and wine bar showcases local produce, with a special emphasis on truffles and an extensive selection of local wines. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed—perfect for a dinner that extends the day’s enjoyment.
To top it all off, head to the Kolorz Festival, held in the majestic setting of the Hôtel-Dieu in Carpentras on Friday, July 24th, and Saturday, July 25th, 2026. Over two summer evenings, the lineup features electronic music artists (house, techno, disco, etc.), alongside a strong showcase of AOC Ventoux wines on Saturday night and a selection of convivial food options.
