Rhône: visit a wine estate

The Rhône, king of rivers

Although the vineyards owe their name to the river that flows through them, there’s also a department of the same name in the northern part of the vineyards.  Located just by Lyon, France’s capital of gastronomy, the Rhône department is home to two of the Côtes du Rhône’s best-known Crus, Condrieu and Côte Rôtie.
Take a trip from Vienne through the protected countryside of the Pilat Natural Regional Park – the incredible landscapes with their dizzyingly steep slopes will take your breath away.
