Vaucluse, land of festivals and heritage

Lying at the meeting point of the Rhône and the Durance, Vaucluse is the Rhône Valley Vineyards’ largest wine-growing department, both in terms of production volume and area under vine. The wines of the Côtes du Rhône, Luberon and Ventoux positively thrive in these fertile lands, stretching from the Rhône plains to the majestic Mont Ventoux and the Luberon mountains.
Avignon, famous for the Palais des Papes, the famous bridge featured in the children’s song and its historic performing arts festival, is also the capital of the Côtes du Rhône, and houses the Rhône Valley Wine School. It is, without question, the perfect spot from which to start your tour of the surrounding vineyards.
