3 gourmet walks to enjoy the arrival of spring in the Rhone Valley vineyards

We've been waiting impatiently for spring, and now it's finally here! To celebrate its arrival in style, the wineries of the Rhône Valley are pulling out all the stops for an outing. Here are 3 ideas for excursions to celebrate the arrival of fine weather, while delighting our taste buds!

A gourmet getaway in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail

There's nothing like an early-morning excursion at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail to admire the beauty of the region's vineyards. Organized by the Gigondas La Cave cooperative, this hike is sure to please walkers, with several gourmet stops along the way. These welcome breaks allow us to enjoy a tasting of AOC Gigondas wines while (re)discovering local gastronomic delights. Enough to motivate us to continue the almost 10-kilometre walk! As well as savoring the wines, you'll also enjoy the springtime scenery on offer during this escapade.

Practical info: Departures from Gigondas La Cave on Saturday April 5th, 2025 at 9.30, 9.45 or 10 a.m. Price: €29 per person. Reservations required.

Tasty immersion at the foot of Mont-Ventoux

We put on our best pair of sneakers and head this time for Mont-Ventoux to begin “La Rando des Gourmets” proposed by Cave Beaumont du Ventoux. For 10km, we wind our way through the vineyards dominated by the Giant of Provence, while enjoying (we're almost getting used to it) some tasty stops. A genuine catered meal is offered in 3 stages along the way, accompanied by AOC Ventoux wines from the Cave Coopérative. It's a great way to combine business with pleasure: physical activity and good food!

Practical info: Departures from Caveau de Beaumont du Ventoux on Sunday April 27th, 2025 at 9.30, 10.30 or 11.30 a.m. Price: €30 per person. Reservations required.

When the ViaRhôna becomes the ViaGusta

We're off to the vineyards of the northern Rhône Valley for this latest idea for a gourmet tour, and it couldn't be more original! For the occasion, the city of Vienna is transforming the famous ViaRhôna cycle route - stretching from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean - into an open-air restaurant, subtly renamed ViaGusta for the occasion! Don't panic: the proposed route, on foot or by bike, covers only 9 of the 815 kilometers of the trail, which is more than enough time to enjoy the various gastronomic stops: aperitif, starter, main course and cheese, not forgetting dessert. All accompanied by Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Joseph AOC wines for a perfect match.

Practical info: let’s meet on Saturday May 17th, 2025 in Vienne. Price: €46 per person. Departure point and ticket office will be announced on Tuesday April 22... Please be patient!
