Easter in the Vineyards of the Rhône Valley: A culinary weekend to delight children and adults
Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes Easter weekend in the vineyards of the Rhône Valley. From Saturday, April 4th, to Monday, April 6th, 2026, wineries are pulling out all the stops to offer activities that will delight young and old alike. From fun egg hunts to gourmet workshops, we’ve put together a program that will make you want to celebrate Easter in a whole new way.
Here, it’s not just about chocolate, but also about wine tastings, family outings, and moments shared over local products. So, are you ready to fill your basket with eggs (and, why not, bottles of wine)?
Easter egg hunts: a must-do for Easter
Who said Easter egg hunts are only for gardens? In the Rhône Valley, they take place among the rows of vines, with wine tastings for parents and creative workshops for children as a bonus.
At the Fontaine du Clos estate in Sarrians (Vaucluse), on Saturday, April 4th, starting at 9:30 a.m., children will set off in search of colorful eggs, while adults enjoy cellar tours and free tastings. Easter face painting and a wine bar on the terrace round out the program. A great way to combine fun for the little ones with relaxation for the grown-ups, even in case of bad weather thanks to indoor activities.
On Sunday, April 5th, at Domaine de Panéry in Pouzilhac (Gard), the egg hunt is paired with a refined brunch (€47 per person) featuring seasonal produce and a confit of lamb shoulder. Meanwhile, children will have fun hunting for eggs hidden in a natural and elegant setting.
On Easter Monday, Cave Le Gravillas in Sablet (Vaucluse) will be open exceptionally from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free and requiring no reservation, the egg hunt has become a family tradition at the estate. Parents can take the opportunity to discover the winery’s iconic vintages, including AOC Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages.
What we love: The friendly atmosphere and the fact that each estate offers something unique, whether it’s a gourmet brunch, a free tasting, or creative activities. A real bonus for mixing things up!

Wine & chocolate pairings: a gourmet touch
For those who prefer subtle flavors to the hustle and bustle, wine & chocolate pairing workshops are a real gem. A sensory experience to enjoy as a couple or with friends.
The Domaine de Grangeneuve in Roussas (Drôme) is hosting a workshop on Saturday, April 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring refined pairings of AOC Grignan-les-Adhémar wines and Valrhona chocolates. For €25 per person, you can enjoy a tasting full of sweetness.
The Gabriel Meffre wine cellar at Domaine de Longue Toque in Gigondas (Vaucluse) offers, meanwhile, a free tasting of four iconic wines paired with artisanal chocolates all day Saturday and Sunday. A wonderful opportunity to discover the pairing of these two gourmet worlds during a visit to the village of Gigondas.
The little extra: These workshops are often led by enthusiasts eager to share their secrets for enhancing every bite and every sip. A true journey for the taste buds!
