Autumn season: our ideas for unique experiences to enjoy in the Rhône Valley

The All Saints' holidays are slowly approaching, and with them comes the desire to enjoy the golden colors of the vineyards and the scent of autumn in the air. In the vineyards of the Rhône Valley, there's never a dull moment: between gourmet discoveries, fun adventures, and wellness breaks, every day becomes a new experience to share with friends or family. Here are three original ideas for activities to help you make the most of your fall vacation in the heart of the Rhône vineyards.

1# Enjoy a gourmet break at the Olive Tree Museum in Nyons

In Nyons, the sun always seems to shine on the olive trees. Step inside the Olive Tree Museum and discover a whole history: that of a thousand-year-old tree and a skill typical of the Drôme Provençale. Between ancient tools, immersive videos, and the scent of fresh oil, you quickly understand that the olive tree is not just a symbol but a way of life.

You'll learn how the fruit becomes nectar, how each harvest is prepared, and above all, how olive cultivation is intertwined with that of the neighboring vineyards. A detour to the Vignolis shop is a must: PDO olive oils, local wines, tapenades... a real basket of southern delicacies to take home with you.

Good to know: the tour is free for children and can be rounded off with a tasting of the products in the dedicated area, enough to whet your appetite before lunch!

2# Play detective with the escape game “Les Secrets du Château” in Chusclan

How about swapping the keys to the fields for those to a castle? In Chusclan, the Coop and Co team offers a concept that is as original as it is captivating: an escape game in the heart of the wine-growing heritage. The setting? The Château de Gicon, perched on the heights, surrounded by flamboyant vineyards.

For an hour and a half, you set off in search of an enigmatic treasure forgotten by King Saint Louis in the 13th century, deciphering clues and legends. The atmosphere is friendly, a touch mysterious and perfect for immersing yourself in the history of the village while having fun. Along the way, you'll learn some interesting anecdotes about wine and local traditions.

The added bonus: a Côtes-du-Rhône wine tasting at Maison Sinnae to round off this challenge in style!

3# Treat yourself to a relaxing break at the Spa de la Bastide de Marie in Ménerbes

After exploring and playing, it's time to relax. Nestled in the heart of the Luberon, the Bastide de Marie is one of those places where time seems to slow down. Light-colored stone, vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, and the scent of lavender set the scene for an exceptional spa: the perfect cocoon in which to recharge your batteries.

On the agenda: soothing massages, treatments using natural products, shell massages, or simply relaxing by the outdoor (heated!) pool surrounded by vineyards gilded by autumn colors. Here, true luxury means taking the time to reconnect body and mind.

What we love: the treatments are inspired by the region's riches and ingredients, with some rituals featuring lavender, for example. A true sensory experience, combining well-being and reconnection with nature.
