Cairanne en fête: two not-to-be-missed events this summer

There are some traditions you just can't get enough of, especially when they're celebrated with good food, a breathtaking view of the vineyards and a healthy dose of conviviality. This summer, the AOC Cru des Côtes du Rhône Cairanne, in the heart of the Rhône Valley, is not to be outdone, with two highlights that are well worth the detour. On the one hand, the 50th Fête du Vin de Cairanne, an evening of timeless charm in the old village. On the other, the 5th Vin Mètre Cube, an adventurous experience in the vineyards. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular visitor, these events are the perfect opportunity to meet the winemakers, taste their vintages, and enjoy the Cairanne art de vivre.

Vin Mètre Cube by Cairanne: a tasting in “secret spot” mode

Take a container transformed into a designer wine bar, a quality live band, brazier-cooked food from local producers and you get: Vin Mètre Cube by Cairanne. A sensory experience concocted by the AOC's young winemakers, now back for its 5th edition, sharper than ever.

The idea? You book your place online, receive the exact location of each evening, kept secret until the last moment, and arrive with friends or family to enjoy an extraordinary evening. And this year, there's a new feature: an evening hosted by a winemaker DJ (no less) on the Saturday evening!

Practical info: Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 7pm to 1am. Price: €50 per person, tasting and meal included. Tickets are going fast... Reserve them here!

The old village of Cairanne lights up for its 50th anniversary

Just imagine the village streets bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, the scent of local produce wafting through the air and the pleasure of winegrowers sharing their passion. That's what the Cairanne Wine Festival is all about. Except that on this Sunday, July 27, 2025, we're blowing out 50 candles, and it's fair to say that the appellation isn't going to do things by halves.

From 5pm onwards, you'll be strolling through the village, passing from stand to stand to discover the red and white cuvées of the appellation's estates and houses. Gourmets can take a break at one of the food trucks set up for the occasion: local flavours, hot and cold, in short everything you need to accompany a fine tasting.

And because a festival is never complete without a little music, live bands will be wafting their notes through the village streets. This year, the Gilles de Flobecq folklore group will be providing the entertainment they know so well. And the highlight of the show: a drone show - a first in the region - will light up the skies over Cairanne to celebrate this extraordinary anniversary!

Bonus: you can arrive a little early to take in the panorama from the village. The view of the Dentelles de Montmirail at sunset is simply irresistible.

Cairanne: much more than a Cru, an art of living

Taking part in one of these events (or both, for the more adventurous!) is much more than tasting vintages: it's entering the world of Cairanne, meeting the people who make the wine and who are happy to pass on their passion for a moment. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply curious, it's impossible to leave without a little something extra. A taste discovery? Perhaps. A lasting memory? You bet!

Because everything here is designed to make you feel at home. It's easy to talk, easy to learn and easy to discover. The atmosphere is just like the winemakers: authentic, generous and passionate. And if you want to extend the experience a little further? There's no shortage of hiking trails to discover the vineyards, heritage and history of Cairanne. The estates also open their doors all year round to welcome us, this time directly into their places.

What we particularly like: this blend of audacity and tradition: between a heritage festival and a quirky evening in the vineyards, Cairanne succeeds in appealing to all generations.

So, shall we go? Whether it's for the magic of the illuminated old village or the electrifying atmosphere of a roving wine bar in the heart of the vineyards, Cairanne has something to thrill our summer evenings. The two events are complementary, and can easily form the common thread of a gourmet and festive weekend in the Rhône Valley.
