Valentine's Day: 3 ideas for celebrating love in the heart of the Rhone Valley vineyards

Whether it's your first Valentine's Day together or you're already a regular at this celebration, we've found three unusual experiences for you to enjoy with your other half to discover the wines of the Rhône Valley in a different way. Originality and romanticism will be there... We hope you will too.

A romantic outing... 50 meters underground!

Who says wine tasting always has to take place in a vineyard? In the Ardèche, the Aven d'Orgnac cave takes a different approach, offering a highly original idea for a romantic getaway: an underground wine tasting. The aim? Let yourself be carried away by the magic and calm of the place, while enjoying wine and chocolate (a perfect pairing). For two hours, you'll stroll through the heart of this emblematic cave at a depth of 50 meters, accompanied by a guide, while enjoying wines from the Néovinum cooperative and chocolates from Maison Vertueux. An experience we're sure will make this Valentine's Day 2025 unforgettable!

Embark on a sensory journey to the heart of the vineyards

Head to Château Mourgues du Grès, in Costières de Nîmes, for a special Valentine’s Day activity which is also out of the ordinary. The key word here is letting go to let your senses do the talking since you are tasting the wines... blind! Your sense of smell, taste and even touch are called upon to discover the aromas and notes behind each cuvée. This unconventional tasting experience is complemented by a visit to the vineyards and winery, where you'll also learn about the techniques used to make the estate's organic wines. To round off the experience in style, an aperitif concocted with local produce is offered at the end of this sensory stroll. It's the perfect time to get together and appreciate what this unique introduction to wine tasting has to offer!

An enchanting meal in the Luberon

Here we return to a more common outing, but one that always makes an impact: a romantic dinner in a unique setting. To celebrate love, the Domaine de Fontenille in the heart of the Luberon has pulled out all the stops. A menu beautifully entitled “Baisers de Provence” awaits you at the estate's restaurant, where each dish combines emotion and finesse to punctuate this special evening. Savor the region's star products, straight from local producers, and let yourself be lulled by the charm of Provencal cuisine. All accompanied, of course, by a fine wine from the estate to enhance the dishes. We can already see the stars in your loved one's eyes!
